The Oregon Marathon ~ July 16 2016 ~ An Uberthons Event for the Oregon Marathon

Uberthons out did themselves for this race! They did an excellent job making this race enjoyable for locals and out of state runners. They set up a family friendly finish line with plenty of food for finishers and family. They started promptly on time and had volunteers available to answer questions. I used the ice towels at three aid stations. There was nuun and water readily available numerous times on the course. I look forward to coming back on July 15th 2017 to PR that course again!

REVEL Big Cottonwood Marathon for the Big Cottonwood Marathon

This year Jerry and I had our 20th anniversary! We decided we would celebrate big, with a marathon! The marathon we chose wasn't just any marathon, it was out of state, talked about as "fast" and the hope for both of us to get our BQ (Boston Qualifier).

The Dam Marathon for the The Dam Marathon

Last Saturday, June 13th I got the opportunity to run The Dam Marathon Half. This is a race I had found last year on line, but didn't get down that way to run it. This year, I not only got to run it, I got the honor of blogging for them. This race was hosted by Oregon Outdoor Sports and raised funds for Cystic Fibrosis. They offer a number of great events on July 13th, and are very affordable.

Newport Marathon 2015 Review and Personal Blog for the Newport Marathon

Newport Marathon 2015 was my 8th marathon, 4th time running Newport! 2015 was Newport's 17th annual Marathon. It was held on Saturday May 30th on Oregon's beautiful central coast. They offered a half marathon and a full marathon, both selling out well before May 30th. I had five friends who were planning on running either the half or full who waited too long and were greatly disappointed. This is one you need to register early to ensure your spot.
